The project by a frozen pizza manufacturer included the purchase of equipment for a new hot press bakery process that produces rising pizza crusts as well as hot press pizza crusts. The company’s existing bakeries did not have the capability or capacity to support the required items of the current and future sales plan. Overall, the project allowed the company to remain competitive within its industry and create and retain quality and accessible jobs in a severely distressed community.
