The project involved building a new, state-of-the-art replacement foundry. Located on a 30-acre undeveloped Greenfield site, the new 125,000 sq. ft. facility is one of the largest finished goods silicon alloy foundries in the world and replaced an existing brass foundry first built in 1910. The foundry is the first foundry of its size to be built in the United States in generations. The new facility retains all 185 existing permanent jobs while creating an additional 65 jobs.
