The project included the equipment purchases and building and infrastructure upgrades for a cheese manufacturing facility. The project allowed the company to maintain its competitiveness and provide a safer work environment for its employees while increasing cheese production capacity by approximately 20%. The current facility was outdated and faced capacity constraints. These facility updates included improvements to wastewater handling, milk storage capacity, and upgrading existing infrastructure to accommodate new equipment. Further, the expansion will position the company to grow its partnerships with local farms and support the growth of industry farmers, milk haulers, by-product producers, cold-storage providers, and other businesses. The company currently partners with 37 farms within a 100-mile radius of the facility and many of these farms have been doing business with the company for multiple generations.
